If you've read my blog for more than a month, you may remember that once upon a time I
cooked. Lately, I've been thanking my lucky stars for pasta and fried eggs and my husband's ability to work a microwave on his own when he gets home from the studio at 11:30pm (This is the point in the post where I deny eating Trader Joe's Lemon Bars for dinner 4 nights in a row. If I did do that though, I would've found them in the freezer section and they would've been delicious, or at least that's the word on the street).
I did see something today that made me think I need tear myself away from the computer and invest some time in that other room in my apartment.
You had me at candied bacon, caramel and sea salt.
My cooking goes in stages too. Have you seen the blog fresh365.blogspot.com? She has great recipes and amazing photos. That freezer section at Trader Joe's is really annoying in a tempting way. Last week I had those chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches. I cannot even bring myself to type how many of them I ate in one day. Or how many calories are in each one.
ReplyDeletethat picture is the trifecta of perfectness. nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI am now obligated to make these caramel goodies the next time my brother is in town. I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteAnd PND, your secret is safe with me ;) Off to check out that blog now...
that's just WRONG.
ReplyDeletebut in an incredible IT-FEELS-SO-GOOD-TO-BE-WRONG kind of way.
