The Artist Formerly Known as the Wife of an Artist.

Exciting news! Chris and I recently submitted a proposal to Southern Exposure to be part of Passive/Aggressive and its Public Art/Urban Interventions Day on Saturday, December 5th and just received the news that our proposal was selected! And when I say "we," I truly mean Chris Treggiari and Jessica Watson. Like my name is going to be credited and stuff. I'm not the wife of an artist this time...I am the artist (well, one of them)!

I'm super excited about this whole thing and this new collaboration with Chris. Our public intervention is pretty awesome if I do say so myself. I don't want to give too much away just yet, but it involves an old railroad that used to run through the Mission in San Francisco. Well that, and blaring "C'mon Ride the Train" by Quad City DJs throughout the streets of San Francisco. Ok, it doesn't involve that second part, but now I know what song we will all have stuck in our heads for the rest of the day. My bad.

  1. Yowza - so exciting Jess!!! I can't wait to see your combined art piece. Maybe you should change your blog name now to Artist and Wife of Artist ;)

Oh, and thanks for the book suggestion. It looks great! I'll pitch it to the girls when it comes time to decide our next one.

  2. Great news!! Congrats! And there's nothing wrong with some Quad City DJs in my book. I've had "Blinded By the Light" stuck in my head for close to a week. This is welcome respite.
